So the owner of lot 2 must do it but its subject to the next <br /> steps that apply to all landowners in and around Lake Minnetonka to comply with whatever rules exist from the <br /> city of Orono or the LMCD since they control the lakeshore and thus all docks on lake Minnetonka. Mike Gaffron <br /> at the city has told me that the city will not approve a separate dock for lot 1 across lot 2s outlot without the city <br /> council giving special approval which he thought was unlikely. The city will also prevent any lakeshore owner from <br /> renting out boat slips. He acknowledged that many many lakeshore owners who have docks may park other <br /> peoples boats at their docks free but they still don't approve of it and he thinks its against their rules. They <br /> obviously have not enforced that position since it is so prevalent around the lake.
