Minnesota Land Cover Classification System (MLCCS)means the Minnesota Land <br /> Cover Classification System (MLCCS)displays data on natural/semi-natural and <br /> cultural cover types at the highest level of classification. The next four levels of <br /> classification each reveal further specifications such as plant types, soil hydrology, <br /> impery out aur f ces hardcover and plant species. Using MLCCS data is the first step in <br /> producing a natural resource inventory of a development site. <br /> Section 10. The City Council of the City of Orono hereby amends City Code <br /> Chapter 78, Article XII. Conservation Design, Division 5. Resources, as follows: <br /> Sections 78-1641 —78-1669. Reserved. <br /> Section 11. The City Council of the City of Orono hereby amends City Code <br /> Chapter 78, by creating a new Article XIII. Stormwater Quality Overlay District, <br /> as follows: <br /> ARTICLE XIII. STORMWATER QUALITY OVERLAY DISTRICT <br /> DIVISION 1. IN GENERAL <br /> Sec. 78-1670, Purpose. <br /> The City of Orono recognizes through its comprehensive plan that managing <br /> stormwater runoff is essential for protection of the water quality of Lake Minnetonka, for <br /> preservation of the natural wildlife habitat within marshlands, and for protection against <br /> flooding and flood damage. Accordingly,the City has established this stormwater quality <br /> overlay district to organize regulations deemed necessary to ensure high quality <br /> stormwater runoff throughout the City. <br /> Sec. 78-1671. Adoption of the Stormwater Quality Overlay District Map. <br /> The map entitled City of Orono Stormwater Quality Overlay District Map, dated <br /> September 24, 2012, hereinafter referred to as the "Stormwater Overlay District Map," <br /> and all explanatory matters thereon, are hereby adopted and made a part of Article XIII. <br /> Stormwater Quality Overlay District. <br /> Sec. 78-1672. District Application. <br /> (a) The provisions of Article XIII shall apply to all parcels within the jurisdiction of <br /> Orono that are shown to be within one of the stormwater quality protection zones <br /> depicted on the Stormwater Overlay District Map. <br /> Page 7 of 17 <br />
