The purpose of this item is to discuss a Proposed 2023 playground project at Summit <br />Beach Park. <br /> <br />2. Background. A playground improvement project it has been identified on the Parks Capital <br />Improvement Plan for 2023. In 2020 the Commission created a committee to look at Summit Beach <br />improvements. In fall of 2020 the committee developed a vision document for improvements (Exhibit A). <br />Throughout spring and summer of 2021 the committee solicited concepts form playground companies <br />(Exhibit B). <br /> <br />3. Public Input. Ms. Alison Benson will provide a briefing on Natural Playgrounds. <br /> <br />4. Cost. $90,000 for planning purposes. <br /> <br />5. Funding. Funding could come from the Park Dedication Fund, donation and a grant. The maximum <br />grant amount is $50,000. <br /> <br />6.
