10/28/2021 <br />5 <br />What are Other Local <br />Communities Considering? <br />•Wayzata – considering dedicated courts ‐future <br />•Mound, Long Lake, Spring Park, Maple Plain and many other local <br />communities have lines on existing tennis courts. <br />How Many Courts Are Needed in <br />Orono? <br />•All of these courts are busy! <br />•It is a long drive for Orono residents to find dedicated courts. <br />•In Orono/Long Lake, 4 courts are utilized currently during the season <br />5‐7 days each week. <br />•Most new court projects are building 8 courts <br />•New courts in Eagan’s Quarry Park = 8 courts + pavilion <br />•Given demand in Orono, 6 –8 courts would be ideal.
