<br />CITY OF ORONO <br /> <br />Position Title: Parks Maintenance Worker <br />Document Date: October 6, 2021 <br />Department: Parks <br />Accountable to: Parks and Golf Superintendent <br />FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-exempt <br /> <br />Nature of Work <br />This position performs a wide range of tasks to maintain the city parks, trails, natural/open space, <br />grounds, playground equipment, and lake access points. This position will require the use of a <br />variety of equipment and tools. Occasional help may be required for public works and the golf <br />course. <br /> <br />Supervision Received and Exercised <br />This position is supervised by the Parks and Golf Superintendent. This position will <br />periodically provide supervision and oversight to crews of seasonal or part time park <br />maintenance workers. <br />Examples of Work <br />Essential functions listed below are intended as illustrations of the various types of work that <br />may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them if the <br />work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. <br /> <br />• Performs the daily, periodic, and emergency maintenance and repair activities to maintain <br />the City’s parks, trails, golf course, and public facilities in safe and operational/useable <br />condition. <br />• Inspects, maintains, and or repairs playground equipment, park facilities, turf, etc. <br />• Maintains a variety of records relating to inspections and maintenance activity
