MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, August 9, 2021 <br />6:00 o’clock p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Johnson moved, Crosby seconded, to table LA21-000047, 645 Tonkawa Road, Variances. <br /> <br />Loren Schoenzeit, 480 Forest Landing, thinks adding the ADA facility close to the lake for the camp is <br />important and if there is a way to find the structural coverage in this location and perhaps trade with the <br />cabin, he thinks that would be valuable to the City. If they push the building back too far it does not serve <br />its safety purposes and he is sure they do not want the Applicant taking thousands of yards out of the hill <br />to put it at lake grade. It seems like there is a reasonable compromise to be able to get an ADA structure <br />for safety near the lake and the hill represents the practical difficulty of the building site. <br /> <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0.
