To consider a resolution approving variances for signage at Orono Station: the number of <br />free standing signs, sign copy area, canopy signage area, and lighting of the canopy. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The application was received on April 21, 2021 and considered <br />to be complete on that date. The 60-Day review period has been extended and will expire on August 19, <br />2021. <br /> <br />3. Background. At its meeting on June 14th, the Council directed staff to prepare a resolution <br />approving variances for the number of freestanding signs, size of freestanding signs, the number of <br />canopy signs, the area of canopy signs, and the lighting of the canopy face. The resolution is attached as <br />exhibit A, formally approving the variances described above. A summary of the request, and the <br />applicable regulations. <br /> <br />4. Public Comment. No comments for or against the proposal have been received. <br /> <br />5. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends approval of the resolution as drafted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />City Council should approve or amend the prepared resolution. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
