To consider variances related to lot area, lot width, and front and rear setback in order <br />to redevelop the property with a new single family home. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The <br />application was received on April 21, 2021 <br />and was considered to be complete on April <br />28th. The 60-Day review period has been <br />extended and now expires on August 26, <br />2021. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicant is <br />requesting approvals in order to redevelop <br />the property with a new single family home. <br />Requested are for the following: lot area, lot <br />width, and front and rear setback variances. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. <br />On May 17th, the Planning Commission held <br />a public hearing. Following the public <br />hearing the Planning Commission voted 7-0 <br />to deny the variances. The Commission <br />contemplated different orientations for the <br />home with respect to the setbacks, but the <br />applicant chose to proceed as proposed . <br />Please review the draft minutes for more <br />detail and direction. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. No comments for or against the project have been received. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. Planning Staff does not support the variance for front and rear yard <br />setbacks as proposed. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Council should direct staff to draft a resolution of approval or denial. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />Exhibit A.
