This application is regarding a rear setback variance to construct a 2nd story over an <br />existing detached garage. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The application was received on April 21, 2021 and was <br />considered to be complete on May 5th. The 60-Day review period expires on July 3, 2021. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicant is requesting a variance to add a second story above the <br />existing detached garage. The garage has a street-facing overhead door which requires the building to be <br />set at the principal building setback of 30 feet. The garage is set at 15.6 feet from the rear property line. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On May 17th, the Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing. Following the public hearing the Planning Commission voted 7 to 0 in favor of approval of the <br />variance. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. No comments for or against the proposal have been received. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
