To consider variances related to lot area, lot width, and front and rear setback in order to <br />redevelop the property with a new single family home. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The <br />application was received on April 21st, 2021 and was <br />considered to be complete on April 28th. The 60-Day <br />review period has been extended and now expires on <br />August 26th, 2021. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicant is <br />requesting approvals in order to redevelop the <br />property with a new single family home. Requested <br />are for the following: lot area, lot width, and front <br />and rear setback variances. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On <br />May 17th, the Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing. Following the public hearing the Planning <br />Commission voted 7-0 to deny the variances. The <br />Commission contemplated different orientations for <br />the home with respect to the setbacks, but the <br />applicant chose to proceed as proposed . Please <br />review the draft minutes for more detail and <br />direction. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. No comments for or against <br />the project have been received. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. Planning Staff does not support the variance for front and rear yard <br />setbacks as proposed. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Council should direct staff to draft a resolution of approval or denial. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
