Agreement No. PW 05-08-19 <br /> CSAH No. 15 & 19; C.P. 2151000 <br />4 ___ <br /> <br />electrical energy for the operation of all permanent and temporary traffic control signal <br />systems and integral streetlights installed as a part of the Project. <br /> <br />2.6.2. Traffic Signal System Adjustment. The City shall not revise by addition or <br />deletion, nor alter or adjust any component, part, sequence, or timing of the traffic <br />control signal, however, nothing herein shall prohibit prompt, prudent action by <br />properly constituted authorities in situations where a part of such traffic control signals <br />may be directly involved in an emergency. <br /> <br />2.6.3. Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP). The EVP Systems provided for herein <br />shall be installed, operated, maintained or removed in accordance with the following <br />conditions and requirements: <br /> <br /> 2.6.3.1. Emitter units may be installed and used only on vehicles responding to an <br /> emergency as defined in Minnesota Statutes Chapter 169.01, Subdivision 5 and <br /> 169.03. <br /> <br /> 2.6.3.2. The City shall report malfunctions of EVP systems to the County <br /> immediately after discovery of the malfunction. <br /> <br /> 2.6.3.3. In the event the EVP Systems or components are, in the opinion of the <br /> County, being misused or the conditions set forth herein are violated, and such <br /> misuse or violation continues after receipt by the City of written notice thereof <br /> from the County, the County shall remove the EVP Systems. <br /> <br /> 2.6.3.4. All timing of the EVP Systems shall be determined by the County. <br /> <br /> Street Lighting: The Project will impact street lighting along the Project corridor. The <br />County or its contractor will install streetlights per the construction plans. The City, at <br />no cost to the County, shall provide the electrical energy for the operation of all the <br />streetlights installed as a part of the Project. <br /> <br /> Asbestos. The Project may include the removal of asbestos containing electrical <br />conduit. Only firms licensed to conduct asbestos abatement shall be used for the safe <br />removal of asbestos containing electrical conduit with proper shipping manifest <br />prepared and submitted to appropriate agency. The lead agency in the Project <br />construction shall be responsible for the oversight of the removal of asbestos containing <br />electrical conduit and compliance with the abovementioned specifications. <br /> <br /> Detours. The Project may require limited detouring of traffic onto the City’s streets. <br />The Parties agree that there will be no compensation to the City for detours onto its <br />streets required to construct the Project. All detour signage is a part of the Project. <br /> <br />3. Cost Participation. Not applicable to the Project. <br /> <br />4. Payment. Not applicable to the Project. <br /> <br />5. City’s Force Account Work. Not applicable to the Project.
