This application is regarding variances to reconstruct a detached garage. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The application was received and considered to be complete on <br />March 16, 2021. Therefore, the 60-Day review period expires on May 15, 2021. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicant is <br />requesting variances in order to build a new detached <br />garage in the same location as the existing, failing <br />garage. The new garage will be 82 square feet larger <br />than the existing, to improve the functionality; but the <br />project will result in a 49 square foot reduction in <br />hardcover. Hardcover and side yard setback variances <br />are requested. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On <br />April 19th, the Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing. Following the public hearing the Planning <br />Commission voted 6 to 0 in favor of a motion to <br />approve the requested variances. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. Neighbor acknowledgements were received and are attached as Exhibit D. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
