Submit a maintenance agreement for street sweeping and grassed swale which must be <br /> executed and recorded <br /> Background: <br /> The applicant is proposing to develop a 6.67-acre site in the City of Orono for the purposes of <br /> constructing an apartment building and parking lot. Permits applied for would allow for grading <br /> activities and construction of stormwater infrastructure for Phase 1 of the Orono Woods <br /> development. Current site conditions consist of mature forest and a MNDOT stormwater pond. <br /> The applicant has proposed to use the stormwater pond for treatment of runoff from the site. <br /> MNDOT has verified that the pond was oversized in its design in,order to accommodate area <br /> development <br /> Rule B:, <br /> Erosion control consisting of silt fence has been provided throughout the site in addition to inlet <br /> protection around catch basins. A crushed rock gravel driveway has been designated for access <br /> to the site. The developer has also confirmed that seeding will occur within 48 hours of final • <br /> grading to stabilize slopes. <br /> Rijle N: <br /> Stormwater management requires BMP's and rate control. The applicant has proposed to <br /> achieve rate control through the use of grassed swales and filter strips in addition to the diversion <br /> of water to the existing stormwater pond. The pond was designed to NURP standards of water <br /> quality treatment and will maintain runoff rates equal to existing. Overflow from the pond is, <br /> directed throughdrainage ditches towards Long Lake.
