However, we will agree to splitting the site improvement work into two phases, <br /> i.e. a Site Grading Phase commencing immediately and a Utilities and Street Phase commencing <br /> approximately April/May 2002. <br /> City Engineer Tom Kellogg has reviewed your proposed punch list for the Site Grading Phase and <br /> has made minor adjustments. The stabilization fabric will be excluded as that is an element of road <br /> construction. We have added the retaining walls and 25%of the landscaping line item.Total per the <br /> attached Phase 1 estimate is $55,800 plus 50% yields a total Phase 1 Letter of Credit amount of <br /> $83,700. <br /> We would like to issue the permit for the Phase 1 Improvements today, with two conditions related <br /> to the phasing element: <br /> 1. The Phase 1 Improvements Permit will be revoked if the Phase 1 Letter of Credit is not <br /> received at this office by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2001. If the permit is <br /> revoked, the City will order all work at the site to be stopped beginning at 8:00 a.m. on <br /> Thursday December 27, until the Letter of Credit is received at which time the permit <br /> will be reinstated. <br /> 2. Commencement of the Phase 2 (Utilities and Street) Improvements may not commence <br /> until a Phase 2 Improvement Permit is issued, which we anticipate will be in the spring of <br /> 2002.
