SEPTIC SYSTEM DESIGN <br />DESIGN CRITERIA; <br />A New 8 bedroom single family home with a garbage disposal is proposed. <br />WATER USAGE; <br />1200 gallons per day maximum. <br />PERCOLATION RATE; <br />Soil Borings used to determine texture and limiting layer(s). <br />SEPTIC TANK; <br />Install one 2000 gallon double compartment septic tank followed by a 2000 gallon <br />double compartment septic tank please see detail. <br />NOTES: 1) Tanks require pumping once every three years <br />2) Use "APPROVED" tanks only. <br />PUMP CHAMBER; <br />Install a 2000 gallon precast tank. Set as specified. <br />NOTES: 1) An event counter required <br />2) Use "APPROVED" tanks only. <br />DRAINFIELD; <br />Treatment Mound, Pressure distribution required. Located on 15% slope. Total <br />mound area is 71 feet by 134 feet. Rock bed measures 10 feet by 100 feet. 63 <br />Tons of rock required. Downslope dike width is 53 feet, upslope dike width is 8 <br />feet and the end dikes are 17 feet. 1144 Tons of sand required. Please see detail. <br />GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES; <br />Divert all surface water away from the drainfield area. Do not disturb the <br />drainfield area during construction.
