A <br /> Xcel Energy Substation Replacement and New Transmission Line Project <br /> Located at 3950 Sixth Avenue North <br /> On June 7, 2011,Xcel Energy filed a Route Permit Application with the Minnesota Public Utilities <br /> Commission (PUC)for their property at 3960 Sixth Ave N,Orono. The proposed project includes <br /> rebuilding the existing 69 kilovolt(kV) Orono Substation to 115kV and constructing up to one mile of <br /> new double circuit 115kV transmission line to connect the planned substation to existing 115 kV Line <br /> 0831, located in Orono.
