They are proposing to raise the roof of the existing residence <br /> for additional living space on the second story. They are also proposing to enlarge the garage <br /> approximately 350 s.f. and reducing the size of the turn around in the driveway. The amount of <br /> hardcover in the 75-250' setback area will be reduced by 495 s.£ (2.43%). The residence was built <br /> at its present location in 1967 and now requires variances for side yard setback and average lakeshore <br /> setback. The requested variances are for: <br /> 1. Section 10.23, Subd. 6(B): Lot Yard Requirements: Side Yard: To permit a 10.62' setback to the <br /> north property line and a 9.93' setback to the south property line where 30' setback is required. <br /> 2. Section 10.22, Subd. 1(B) and Section 10.56, Subd. 16(C)(6): Average Lakeshore Setback: To <br /> permit a variance for the second story addition to encroach 20' into the average lakeshore setback. <br /> 3. Section 10.22, Subd. 2 and Section 10.56, Subd. 16(L)(2): Lakeshore Hardcover: Within 75-250' <br /> of the shoreline there shall be no greater than 25% hardcover. To permit a hardcover variance to <br /> allow 5,745.5 s.£ (28.27%), where 6,241 s.£ (30.7%) exists, and 5,081 s.£ (25%) is allowed. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION: <br /> The Planning Commission recommended by a 5 to 0 vote to: <br /> Approve the application as presented. <br />
