First I will need copies of those "number of complaints" including names and addresses. Anonymous complaints will not suffice. Secondly, Xcel's approved rate code indicates a 250w fixture is available to MN clients. I need a 250w fixture to light my property which has suffered vandalism, trespass and illegal dumping. If you need to look beyond the norm to perhaps a cobra head fixture that may be the solution. Thank you. They city says the 250W area with the painted side doesn't comply with that code, so at this point its looking like the 100W area is the only real option. The initial fixture was exchanged for a different, more shielded fixture and repositioned away from the neighboring homes. We have received a complaint from a resident across the bay who expressed concern regarding the brightness of this light. I know we did not anticipate that the relocated fixture would impact any additional residences; however it appears now that it does. I hope we can, again, work with you to resolve this matter so that there are no further complaints. You may remember our Code that states: City Code Section 78-1573: "Any use requiring an operation producing an intense heat or light transmission shall be performed with the necessary shielding fo prevent such heat or light from being detectable at the lot line of the site on which the use is located.
