Our first responding Officer noticed the large boulders
near the entrance to the driveway and pazked the Duty Officer vehicle off to the side.
The possible grass fire was in fact a legal permit bum and cancelled all other incoming
units.
I am writing you this letter is to inform you that the location of the boulders will inhibit
our ability ta respond to emergency ca1ls and could possible prohibit us from getting any
closer then the entrance of the driveway with our laxger vehicles. Ttus would slow our
response to an emergency at this address and may jeopardize lives and property. I am
recommendimg tha.t you either remove the boulders completely or space them at a
minimutn 20 feet apart.
Re ctfully,
-
ames Van Eyll
Chief
Long Lake Fire Department
cc: Correy Farnoik Orono Police Chief
Terry Post Long Lake City Administraxor
$il Vells Orono City Administrator
.
  LONG LAKE FIRE DEPARTMENT
 450 Virginia Avenue•P.O.Box 606•Long Lake,Minnesota 55356•952-473-6961 •952-476-9622(faac)•http:l/www.ci.long-lake.mn.us
