EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />AGREEMENT made this2d day of+e , 2017,by and between the CiTY OF <br />ORONO a Minnesota municipal corporation ("Employer"), and DUSTIN RIEF("Employee"). <br />The parties agree as follows: <br />l. POSITION. Employer agrees to employ Employee as its City Administrator. <br />Employee agrees to serve as City Administrator in accordance with state statutes and City <br />ordinances and to perform such other legally pennissible and proper duties and functions as the City <br />Council shall from time to time assign. <br />2. PENSION PLAN. Employer shall contribute to PERA as required by State law for <br />Employee or an alternate pension plan, if selected by Employee,authorized by State law. <br />3. SALARY. Employer shall pay Employee a salary of$109,020.16(Step 3)per year <br />starting August 28,20l 7. Employee shall be given an initial performance review after six (6) <br />months and annually thereafter. Employee shall be eligible for a step increase at the initial six(6) <br />nonth review. <br />4. SENIORITY. Far purposes of employment benefits such as sick leave,vacation <br />leave,and the like, Employee will be credited with having completed six(6)years of employment <br />with the City upon his first day of employment. <br />5. SICK LEAVE. Effective upon Employee's first day of employment,Employee <br />shall be credited with six(6)days of accrued sick leave. Employee shall begin accruing sick leave in <br />accordance with the City's persoruiel policy after successfully completing six(6)months of <br />employment. <br />ty;tA 2 1
