PARK COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />Prepared By: Reviewed By: Approved By: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action is a request to establish a commission Committee to review City <br />Lake Access points with docks. <br /> <br />2. Background. There are 4 lake access point within the Orono System that include public Docks: <br />Stubbs Bay, Carmen St, Loma Linda and Park Lane. Staff has been receiving complaints and concerns <br />from residents on how the Loma Linda and Park Lane Access are being used. Both have been seeing use <br />as unofficial boat launches which creates erosion and bank damage. There have also been complaints of <br />parking issues along neighborhood streets of vehicles with boat trailers. <br /> <br />3. Staff Request. The Park Commission establish a committee to look at our Lake Access points, the <br />active ones in particular, to create a list of recommendation for the council on their use, maintenance, <br />rules and amenities. <br /> <br />COMMISSION ACTION REQUESTED <br />Move to establish a Lake Access Point Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />Item No.: 6 Date: September 9th, 2020 <br />Item Description: Active Lake Access Point Review. <br /> <br />Presenter: Adam T.
