As an Orono community member for the past 15 years, I have driven by Long Lake almost <br />every day and often wished I was one of the lucky ones with a home on the water. <br />The rowing club has added a mysterious allure to the lake. It is so serene to see the boats gently gliding through the <br />tranquil water on a misty summer morning. When I read the articles of the regatta success the club brings home with <br />them, it adds to my pride in being an Orono/Long Lake resident. What a fascinating and unusual sport and we are <br />so lucky to be able to engage and support the young and old who are working so hard at it. <br />I was so intrigued with the sport, that I decided to join the club. I have been amazed at the group’s small town feel <br />and welcoming attitude. They are dedicated to fitness and inclusivity for the entire community.
