Mr. Whitten's <br /> statement to the City Council was very telling: <br /> "The neighbors? Oh, we've got neighbor meetings and everybody <br /> loves it. We have no issues whatsoever. . . .That's not a concern. . <br /> . . As far as neighbors, I don't see an issue at all." <br /> See September 14, 2020, City Council meeting video, 1:00:00 and 1:00:31 marks. <br /> Mr. Whitten's statements to the City Council were untrue. <br /> Mrs. Burwell objects to the proposed subdivision. <br /> We are concerned that the Jacobs family's representative made this fundamental <br /> misrepresentation. Mr. Whitten had not even talked to Michael and Meredith Kuhlman, the next <br /> door neighbors who live at 1760 Shoreline Drive, before the September 14, 2020, City Council <br /> meeting. Mr. Whitten never obtained Mrs. Burwell's consent at any time, and she lives at 1100 <br /> Millston Road. Despite these facts, Mr. Whitten represented that the "neighbors loved" the <br /> development. <br /> Thus, the two families that live next to this proposed development were not consulted and never <br /> agreed to the subdivision, contrary to Mr. Whitten's representation to the City Council at the last <br /> meeting. The neighbors do not "love" the proposed subdivision.
