He conunented that the trees are not a pernlanent fixture and could be removed by a <br /> natural disaster, such as the tomados in recent histoiy, While he aclrnowledged a drainage problem, <br /> White suggested the applicant work with staff to redesign tilting the hoine in order to meet setbacks <br /> and return to Council with a new plan. <br /> Muiphy maintained that this is not an arbitrary decision, �eople live on tlie lake for the view and it <br /> is the Council's responsiUility to adhere to height and average lalceshore setbacks to the best of its <br /> aUility, <br /> McMillan urged the t��o neighbors' to ineet to discuss landscaping alternatives, <br /> Munson believed his hardship to be unique to his property, The hardship that one of his nei jhbors <br /> is 75' fi�om the lake and the other 330' off shore poses a unique situation. <br /> White stated that, if there were no place else to locate a home on this parcel, the Council might be <br /> inore forgiving or receptive to using the unusual average lakeshore setback line as a hardship. <br /> Mayor Peterson stated that the applicant could request tabling the application to redesign or aslc for <br /> a vote, potentially a denial, and not return for 6 months. <br /> Munson asked for a table of the a��lication. <br /> Mr. Jolu�son, the neighbor's attorney, stated that the,y were quicic to let Mr. Munson Imow that they <br /> would be willing to acce�t a similar size home to what cun•ently exists on then site and would be <br /> willing to meet with Mr,Munson to assist�vith his redesign efforts. <br /> io'Ia}�or Peterson moved,Murphy secouded, to table Application#05-3135, 3165 North Shore <br /> Drive for redesign.
