Moorse �j,� City Administrator's Report <br /> Tit�e City Administrator � <br /> Item Description : Recognition of Those Who Contributed their Time, Talents, Effort and <br /> Equipment Toward Big Island Park Improvements and Clean-up <br /> The City of Orono acquired the land that is now Big Island Park in January of 2006. Since that <br /> time, a major effort has been made to clean-up the property and make improvements to enable <br /> the property to be open for public enjoyment. The improvements include a new well and water <br /> system, new restroom facilities, and the removal of unsafe structures and equipment. These <br /> improvements were accomplished primarily through the efforts of former Mayor Gabriel <br /> Jabbour, and a small group of people with the willingness to provide their time, talents, effort <br /> and equipment to completing the improvements. <br /> Those who participated in the improvements will be in attendance at the Council meeting. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Recognition of those who contributed their time, talents, effort and equipment toward Big Island <br /> Park improvements and clean-up. <br />
