Loren thanked Staff for improving the City's web site. *10. #06-3241 CITY OF ORONO ZONE CODE SECTION 78-1466—ELECTION SIGNS ZONING CODE AMENDMENT—ORDINANCE NO.35, THIRD SERIES White moved,McMillau seconcied, to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 35, Tl�ird Series, an Ordinance Amencling Chapter 78 of the Orono Municipal Code by Amending Sections 78-1466(8) and 78- 1466(9) Regarding Signs. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. *10A. WATERTOWN ROAD AND ORONO ORCHARD ROAD SOIL BORING QUOTES White moved,McMillan seconded,to accept tlie price quote of STS in the amount of'$6,459 for soil borings on Watertown Road and Orono Orchard Road, ancl to authorize up to an additional amount of$1,541 for additional boring depth if needed,for a total cost of$8,000; and to amend the General Fund and Municipal State Aid Fund budgets to reflect the expenditures. NIAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT McMillan reported on the low impact development seminar she attended and recoillmended that Julie Westerlund, the speaker at the seminar,be invited to give a presentation to the City. Murphy stated he has received four e-mails fi-om Mr.Hollander's neighbors complaining about the condition of the property. Mutphy recommended the City Attorney look at the City's options for dealing with the sit�iation. White requested the City's financial of�cer prepare a montl�ly report. Murphy inquired whether a line-by-line review of the budget should Ue scheduled. Moorse stated that item could be placed on the NovemUer 2�`�'work session agenda. Sansevere suggested the City Adnlinistrator contact the City of Long Lake regarding working out a continuation of the police contraci with the City of Orono in the next 90 days rather than six months. Mui-�hy stated the City does need to look at revising the police contract but that the implications of the new contract need to Ue fully understood. PAG� 13 of'15
