Curtis stated the applicant is requesting a conditional use pennit to conduct land alterations in excess of SUU cubic yards in the area between the church building and County Road 6,to allow construction of a columbarium,memorial garden, a 12' x 24' shed and a new monument si�i, A variance is also required due to the size of the sign proposed. Curtis recon-unended the Planning Commission discuss the issues outlined in her planner's report. Planning Staff reconunends approval of the conditional use pennit and variance subject to the recorrunendafions of the City Engineer and the sign being reduced by six inches to meet the City's monument sign ordinance. Wheeloelc noted the ehureh e�cperienced a fire. approximately four years ago and that they have Ueen involved in the process since then to reconstruct the church. Aber�stated they are in ac eement��ith the recommendations regarding the ]andscaping and the recorrunendations of the City Engineer. Aberg stated they would like to extend the fill fronl the right-of- �vay to the embanl:ment to help diminish the drop-off and address access issues.
