Adopt an ordinance allowing for the amendment of resolutions approving variances. <br /> <br />2. Background. The City Council approves variances via resolution. Frequently, the plans <br />reviewed by the City Council area attached to the resolution, establishing the formal record of <br />approval. <br /> <br />Occasionally, the applicant requests a modification to the plans. When these changes are deemed <br />minor, staff brings them to Council for approval. Amendments deemed major, have required <br />repeating of the variance process. The City Attorney prepared an ordinance that codifies this <br />practice. <br /> <br />3. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. The Planning Commission voted 5-0 on a motion to <br />approve the changes to the ordinance as drafted. <br /> <br />4. Public Comment. No comments for or against the application have been received. <br /> <br />5. Staff Recommendation.
