To provide an update on the money spent to date and projected spending through November <br />15, expenditures period. <br /> <br />2. Background. March 18, 2020 the City Adopted Emergency Orders related to the COVID-19 <br />Outbreak. The initial expenses and funding was available through FEMA. Additional funding became <br />available as a part of the CARES Act in which the city has received $610,407. This funding has <br />limitations on how it is spent and must meet those requirements or be returned to the Hennepin <br />County for redistribution to the Hennepin County Medical Center. <br /> <br />3. Expenditures. The City initially spent $4,395.46 on supplies and equipment. These expenses have <br />been requested reimbursement from FEMA. <br />Additional expenses have accumulated to $17,330.47 with the largest expense categories of Public <br />Health Expenses (cleaning and advisory services) and Personal protective equipment. <br /> <br />Projected expenses are as follows: <br />a. Cleaning Equipment: $4,300 <br />b. Biohazard masks (PD) $ 31,000 <br />c. COVID Sick/Overtime to cover shifts $30,000 <br />d. Additional PPE: $7,000 <br />e. Front Desk remodel to accommodate social distancing and permanent protective measures for <br />staff (New OSHA Requirements): $55,000 <br />f. Improved Air Handling and Filtration for City Buildings: $6,000 <br />g. Door access points for improved contact tracing: $14,000 <br />h. Orono CARES for Schools Grant Program $300,000 <br /> <br />4. Current Expenses. $21,725.93 ($17,330.47 CARES Money) <br /> <br />5. Projected City Expenses. $147,300 <br /> <br />6. Orono Cares for Schools Grant Program. $300,000 <br /> <br />7.
