Orono City Council <br />Work Session Minutes <br />Thursday, August 24, <br />2020 Council Chambers <br />5:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Richard F. Crosby II, Victoria Seals, <br />Printup and Matt Johnson. Staff members present were City Administrator Dustin Rief, Public <br />Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, Finance Director Ron Olson, and City Clerk Anna <br />Carlson. <br />1.Park Commission Applicant Interview <br />The City Council Interviewed Vanessa Keller for consideration for position of Park <br />Commissioner. <br />2.Budget <br />Finance Director Ron Olson presented the budget workbook to the City Council. <br />There City Council gave their input regarding the proposed information laid out in the budget <br />workbook. The Finance Director will bring the workbook back with any adjustments <br />recommended by the Council and present it at a future Work Session. The Council also <br />discussed the possibility of bumping up the percentage to approximately 4% for now, to be <br />proactive until they have a better understanding of where the City sits on all areas including <br />permit revenue and other items that may affect the percentage.
