The purpose of this item is for City Council to accept the roadway within the Southways <br />development. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Southways development was approved subject to the terms of the Development <br />Contract, Southways, 18-3998, executed by the developer and the City June 11th, 2018. Per the contract <br />the sanitary sewer and storm water utilities as well as the roadway are to be a public facilities owned, <br />operated and maintained by the City of Orono. The sanitary sewer was accepted on January 13th 2020. <br />On June13th, 2020 the wear course of pavement was completed for the roadway. <br /> <br />3. Public Improvements. The development infrastructure that is public include the storm water <br />system, sanitary sewer system and the roadway. <br /> <br />4. Staff Recommendation. I recommended formal acceptance of the roadway <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Adopt the attached resolution accepting the roadway improvements within Southways as public facilities.
