The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with the acceptance of a park <br />donation. The hand sanitizer donated will be used at the golf course for the clubhouse attendants. <br /> <br />2. Background. Authority for cities to accept donation is granted by Minnesota Statute 465.03 which <br />authorizes Minnesota cities to “accept or devise of real or personal property and maintain such property <br />for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor.” All donations must <br />be accepted by resolution with a 2/3 vote of the Council. <br /> <br />The following donation has been received: <br /> <br /> Navarre Hardware 2 gallons liquid hand sanitizer <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />Motion to adopt the attached resolution to Accept Golf Course Donations. <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
