Acknowledgement Letter Regarding Sutton Proposed Addition <br /> This letter is to acknowledge and approve the proposed three-season porch addition to the Sutton <br /> residence, The addition as proposed exceeds the rear set-back allowance by 7ft. Due the"back-lot" <br /> designation of the Sutton property,the set-back distance is 45 ft compared to all the adjacent properties <br /> where it is 30ft. <br /> The Sutton's are asking the city of Orono for a variance to allow the proposed three-season porch as <br /> designed for the following reasons: <br /> 1. The proposed variance will in no way impair health,safety,comfort or in any other respect be <br /> contrary to the intent of the zoning code. <br /> 2. The addition variance of less than loft would not alter the character or directly impact any <br /> nearby neighbors as the addition is not in-line with any structures with respect to the back <br /> neighboring lots. <br /> 3. The addition would not add significant hard cover which is already significantly below <br /> maximums. <br /> 4.
