LA20-000030)AND <br /> A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT #3 <br /> TO EXPAND THE METROPOLITAIN URBAN SERVICE <br /> AREA (FILE NO. LA20-000050) <br /> WHEREAS, on April 22, 2020 Eric Luth, o/b/b YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities <br /> and Gordon James, LLC ("Applicant[s]"), applied for a preliminary plat for the property legally <br /> described in Exhibit A, (hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, on July 22, 2020 Eric Luth, o/b/o Harry Schleetar and Gordon James, <br /> LLC ("Applicant[s]"),applied for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment(CPA)for the property legally <br /> described in Exhibit A, (hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS,on May 18,2020,after published and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at which <br /> time all persons desiring to be heard concerning the preliminary plat application were given the <br /> opportunity to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 17, 2020, after published and mailed notice in accordance <br /> with Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at <br /> which time all persons desiring to be heard concerning the revised preliminary plat and CPA <br /> application were given the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 17, 2020, the Planning Commission recommended <br /> approval of the preliminary plat and CPA; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 14, 2020, the City Council reviewed the application <br /> and the recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota hereby approves the requested preliminary plat as described above based on one or <br /> more of the following findings of fact concerning the Property: <br /> 1 <br />
