MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Monday,July 27,2020 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> Walsh said with COVID and the different items and equipment needed,the City should make sure they <br /> are putting everything they can put in so it doesn't come later and impact the City's budget because the <br /> City gave the money back. <br /> Council Members agreed with Walsh's comments. <br /> Rief said the Westonka School District requested that the City consider them as part of the funding option <br /> because it's not something that was laid out in the first CARES Act. The Cities and Counties get money <br /> but nothing was considered for the school districts. When the City figures out what it needs internally, it <br /> is something he would like to bring back and have a discussion on how to help contribute for some of the <br /> increased expenses the school district is having. <br /> Council Members discussed helping all the school districts out in whatever way possible while making <br /> sure the money is being spent on something worthwhile. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> None. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Seals moved,Printup seconded,to adjourn the Orono City Council meeting at 8:14 p.m. VOTE: <br /> Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> OF <br /> Aa Carlson, City Clerk Dennis Walsh,Mayor <br /> Page 21 of 21 <br />
