CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7094 <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AMENDING RPUD OF <br />STONE EIGHTH ADDITION IN ORONO <br />FILE NO. LA20-000020 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") is a municipal corporation <br />organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono (hereinafter "City Council") has <br />adopted subdivision and land development regulations for the orderly, economic and safe <br />development of land within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Stonebay Senior Living LLC is the owner of the property addressed <br />2635 Kelley Parkway (hereinafter the "Owner") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 1, Block 1 Stonebay Eight Addition <br />WHEREAS on April 27, 2020, Weis Builders (hereinafter the "Applicant") on behalf <br />of the Owner, applied for an amendment to the STONEBAY EIGHT ADDITION RPUD Resolution <br />6894 regarding signage; and <br />WHEREAS, according to Resolution No. 6894 RPUD for STONEBAY EIGHT <br />ADDITION no language was included regarding signage; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council does hereby approve <br />the following revision to the RPUD for STONEBAY EIGHT ADDITION, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota: <br />1. Signage shall be limited to the following: <br />a. A maximum of one monument sign 5 feet high, 20 square feet of text, 55 square <br />feet in total area. <br />b. Two building wall signs, a maximum of 50 square feet each, a maximum of one <br />sign to be located on the north and south wall of the structure. <br />c. Changeable copy of any type is not permitted <br />d. Only external lighting with downcast lights directed onto the sign shall be permitted. <br />Internal backwashed lights are permitted. <br />
