The purpose of the agenda item is to gain Council approval to appoint a new Public Works <br />Support and Utility Billing Specialist appointment. <br /> <br />2. Background. At the May 11th, 2020 council meeting the Council approved the revised position <br />description and authorized recruitment of the Public Works Support and Utility Billing Specialist. The <br />position was advertised internally and an excellent candidate identified for the position. <br /> <br />3. Recruitment. The selection process for the vacant position has been completed. The process <br />involved application screening, an interview panel, and reference checking. <br /> <br />4. Recommended Candidate. The top candidate is Ms. Andrea (Anne) Hentges. Anne currently serves <br />in the Municipal Services Support Representative Position. <br /> <br />5. Staff Recommendation. I recommended that Ms. Hentges be appointed to the position of Public <br />Works Support and Utility Billing Specialist at Grade 5 Step 5 effective June 1st, 2020. <br /> <br />6. Municipal Services Support Representative Recruitment. This internal lateral move creates a <br />vacancy for the Municipal Services Support Representative Position. Staff will immediately begin the <br />recruitment process to fill this critical position as soon as possible.
