Therefore the City must consider it to be a hazardous building per (MN <br /> State Statues 463.15 Sub3) and require repair or removal. Repair of a non-conforming structure <br /> on the lakeshore requires approval from City Council and those applications are typically denied <br /> unless the structure has some historical value. Paul Weinberger the Orono Zoning Administrator <br /> could discuss the application process and probability of approval with you. <br /> With your consent the City could raze the building and the cost would be charged against the real <br /> estate, not to exceed five equal annual installments with interest thereon, at eight percent per <br /> annum. <br /> If you don't contest to removal by the City, the City would proceed to District Court for an order <br /> to remove the structure. <br /> Please contact me within 10 days of this letter to discuss the issues.
