The three septic systems are <br /> comprised of four cesspools with small drainfields. Cesspools do not comply with State and Local codes. The <br /> system that exists on the West side of the property emits sewage at the surface, causing a health threat. City <br /> ordinance requires systems to be upgraded within ninety days if a health threat exits. <br /> Special Considerations-The sewer main that currently exits the home on the West side must be rerouted and <br /> connected to the basement floor drain that exists within an enclosed area where the well pressure tank and water <br /> softener are located. The basement floor drain exits the house at the Northeast side where new 4"schedule 40 pvc <br /> piping will be connected and routed to the new septic tanks. <br /> The sewer main that exits the South side of the home must also have new 4"schedule 40 pvc pipe connected and <br /> routed to the new septic tanks. <br /> Description of Onsite Wastewater System- <br /> System Sizing-The sewage treatment system is designed for a five bedroom home. <br /> Primary Treatment-One 1,250 gallon septic, one 1000 gallon septic tank. <br /> Secondary Treatment-Orenco Biotube effluent filter with level alarm installed at the outlet of the 2nd septic tank. <br /> Final Treatment- 1,250 gallon lift tank with pump discharging to 1,252 square feet of drainfield. <br /> Drainfield- 5 ea. 84' long x 3' wide level pressure dosed trenches with 2" laterals. Orifice shields placed below <br /> each orifice. Ball valves and valve boxes installed at the end of each lateral. <br /> Dosing Method- Drainfield will be pressure dosed with timed cycles with a control panel. <br /> Soil Conditions- The property is located within an area that is mapped as Hayden Loam according to the <br /> Hennepin County Soil Survey. Soil borings performed on the property revealed the depth from the surface to the <br /> seasonal high water table to be greater than 60"(see enclosed boring logs). Soil texture is fine sandy loam over a <br /> clay loam, soil sizing factor is 1.67 sq. ft./gpd, slope is 0%. <br /> Limitations-Our investigation, layout, design, and recommendations are based on data submitted. If conditions <br /> considerably different from those described in this report are encountered, we must be notified. If proposed <br /> construction is changed, we must be notified to evaluate the effect of the changes on the wastewater system. Any <br /> changes to the design must be approved by the designer and will be assessed additional design costs. If changes are <br /> made to the design without the knowledge and approval of the designer the design shall be void. <br />
