Existing Ordinance — Division 18. This section is proposed to be repealed <br /> in its entirety and amended as illustrated within the corresponding <br /> Ordinance. <br /> Existing PID Ordinance — Division 19. This section is proposed to be <br /> repealed in its entirety. <br /> Parking. If the proposed Ordinance is approved, the following sections <br /> related to parking will need to be amended. <br /> Section 78-1491. <br /> A. There shall be provided on the lot occupied by a multiple-dwelling building <br /> two off-street parking spaces per dwelling unit, one of which is an enclosed <br /> parking space which may be located in or under the multiple-dwelling building; <br /> detached from the principal building if its location serves some beneficial <br /> screening, buffering or transitional function; or else completely underground. In <br /> addition, 0.25 parking space per dwelling unit shall be provided for guests, and <br /> shall be located conveniently for the units they are intended to serve. The main <br /> parking areas shall be surfaced with a hard, all-weather, durable dustfree <br /> surfacing material and shall be properly drained and landscaped and shall be <br /> maintained in a well-kept condition. No parking area shall occupy any required <br /> project yard area, nor shall it be located closer than five feet to a side or rear lot <br /> line, nor closer than ten feet to any principal building. Each parking space shall <br /> have a minimum width of nine feet and a minimum depth of 200 feet exclusive of <br /> aisles and maneuvering space. All parking areas containing more than six <br /> spaces which adjoin either a public street or residentially zoned property shall <br /> have a solid wall or fence of not less than three feet nor more than 4.5 feet in <br /> height along such adjoining line. Such fences or walls shall be so designed that <br /> they are architecturally harmonious with the principal structures on the lot. A <br /> screen planting approved by the council may be substituted for the required wall <br /> or fence. Guest parking stalls shall be easily accessible to or from the main entry <br /> of the multiple-dwelling building. No street parking shalf be permitted. <br /> (Code 1984, § 10.30(16)(L)) <br /> B.
