Article VIII of the Orono City Code is amended as follows: 187 <br />ARTICLE VIII. - ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENSES AND PENALTIES 188 <br />DIVISION 1. - IN GENERAL 189 <br />Sec. 66-250. - Administrative offenses. 190 <br />The Orono City Council has determined to enforce certain offenses within the City of 191 <br />Orono as administrative offenses. Those offenses to be enforced as administrative offenses shall 192 <br />be determined by resolution of the city council as recommended by the chief of police. These 193 <br />administrative penalty procedures in this section are intended to provide the public and the city 194 <br />with an informal, cost effective, and expeditious alternative to traditional criminal charges for 195 <br />violations of certain provisions of this code. The procedures are intended to be voluntary on the 196 <br />part of those who have been charged with those offenses. 197 <br />Sec. 66-251. - Violation/penalty. 198 <br />Any person violating one of the administrative offenses within the City of Orono shall be 199 <br />subject to the scheduled administrative penalty.
