CITY OF ORONO MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: February 24, 2020 <br />TO: Orono City Council <br />FROM: Dustin Rief, City Administrator <br />RE: Park Commission Interviews <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The purpose for this works session item is provide the City Council the opportunity to <br />interview prospective Park Commissioners. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Parks Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three year <br />terms. Three of the positions have terms that expire in 2020 and one position is vacant due to a <br />resignation. <br /> <br />3. Applicants. The new applicants are listed below. Their applications and sample interview <br />questions are attached. Applicants have been asked to begin with a brief informal dialogue about <br />themselves and why they desire to serve on the Park Commission. <br /> <br />Applicant Interview Time <br />Taylor Stephens 5:00-5:15 <br /> <br />4. Has served since 2017. <br />Jan Berg March 1st, 2022 <br />Casey Conrad Hudson March 1st, 2022 <br />Julie Ruegemer March 1st, 2020 Wishes to be reappointed. Has served since 2014. <br />Rick Carter March 1st, 2022 <br />VACANT March 1st, 2022 Previously held by Rick Meyers <br />Bryce Johnson March 1st, 2020 Does not wish to be reappointed <br />Alternate Members <br />Beth Davis March 1st, 2020 <br />Jennifer Klaanhsen March 1st, 2022 Wishes to be appointed a Regular member of the <br />Park Commission.
