Many citizens of Orono take advantage of these benefits. <br /> The Gilllespie Center building is owned and operated by the Gillespie Center. We are <br /> responsible for a11 building operating costs and maintenance. SCS provi�es the salary for the <br /> Senior Outreach staff, (Marion Danielson)who works out of the Gillespie Center. We provide <br /> the office space and phone for her. The Center Director,Mindy Anderson is hired and paid by <br /> SCS and The Gillespie Center currently reimburses SCS for a major portion of her salary. The <br /> following are ongoing social and participation activities at The Gillespie Center. <br /> � <br /> � Daily coffee hour �I <br /> • 3 exercise activities (over 50 and fit(3 times weekly), line dancing (once weekly), and �, <br /> snapdragons(twice weekly) I <br /> • Card games of 500,cribbage and progressive rummy that are each offered weeldy, ; <br /> • scrabble <br /> e Congregate Dini.ng twice weekly and at special occasions �' <br /> • a singing group meets twice monthly plus giving frequent performances at nursing homes ' <br /> in the area, <br /> • a hiking group hikes twice weekly during the spring, summer and fa11 seasons <br /> � Art Club meets weekly <br /> � Book club meets monthly <br /> • Quilting group meets weekly <br /> � Triad program(monthly program on law enforcement issues) <br /> m Craft group meets weekly <br />
