A summary of the inspection is <br /> below. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout needed within one year(last pumpout 3/13/90) . <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom <br /> of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code,not a City <br /> Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> system must be replaced no later than December 31,2010. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic system functions properly.
