SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> "The Update is incomplete for Local Surface Water Management Plan. Orono lies <br /> within the Minnehaha Creek watershed. The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District's <br /> watershed management plan was approved by the Board of Water and Soil Resources <br /> in 2007. Orono was required to update its Local Suiface Water Management Plan <br /> (LSWMP) by July of 2009. The Update states that the Ciry will be submitting its <br /> LSWMP for review within a month or twa Until an acceptable final draft LSWMP is <br /> submitted for revie��, the Update will be incomplete for review. " <br /> "SWMP" Analvsis <br /> Bob Barth of Bonestroo & Associates is nearing completion of the SWMP Update for review by <br /> the CounciL We expect it will be available for discussion in the near future. <br /> 7. TRANSPORTATION AND TRANSIT <br /> "The Update is incomplete for transportation and transit. In o�°der to be found <br /> complete, the Update will need to provide the following: <br /> • Traffic forecasts for the year 2030. Map 4A-1 and the Roadway capacity issues <br /> discussion beginning on page �A-1� make ��eferences to tra�c projections for 2020. <br /> These need to be changed to 2030. <br /> • Revision of the TAZ allocation. The Update contains a map and table of the <br /> forecasted socioeconomic data by TAZ. However, the TAZ numbers do not reflect the <br /> Council's system statement forecasts for population, households oi° employment. <br /> • The Update needs to identify the City's transit market area, which is Market Area III. <br /> Advisory Comments <br /> • Roadway Functional Classification: The update accurately Neflects the Principal and <br /> Minor arterial system ��ithin the community relative to the TAB maps. On Page 4A-2� <br /> of the Plan, there is reference to a map of the system (Map 4A-4), but it may have been <br /> omitted in erroi�. <br /> • Route 677 needs to be identified as pa��t of the city's existing tr�ansit service.
