It is the City's policy to preserve and protect significant trees, stands of <br /> trees and wooded buffer areas, the loss of which as a result of land <br /> disturbances associated with the process of development or construction <br /> would adversely affect the character of the City and the integrity and <br /> quality of its development. The City recognizes that, despite the best <br /> efforts of the City and property owners, trees may occasionally be lost in <br /> the development or construction process. In those cases tree replacement <br /> or reforestation shall be required. <br /> 3. The City will study whether adoption of additional tree protection and <br /> replacement ordinances is necessary to accomplish these goals. <br /> Additionallv, the adoption and implementation of a Conservation Desi�n <br /> ordinance will occur concurrentiv with adoption of this CMP update <br /> requirin� ecolo�ical analvsis for all new residential develo�ments �reater <br /> than 5 acres. <br /> 4. The eradication of exotic vegetation species such as buckthorn will be <br /> encoura�ed in all wooded areas.
