His comments are below.
It appears we need some clarification and there are at least a couple issues which may need on site changes to resolve.
If you wish to receive a certificate of occupancy today we will need to issue a temporary CO. A temporary CO requires
submittal of a $10,000 escrow. We already hold $2500 so an additional $7500 will be needed in addition to the owner's
signature on a temporary CO escrow agreement.
I haven't sent our inspector out to field verify the as-built, however I know you wanted the CO today. The temporary CO
is the only way to do that at this point. The escrow agreement is attached.
Please review the comments below and let me, or Adam Edwards know if you have questions.
Melanie Curtis
9952.249.4627 Hmcurtis@ci.orono.mn.us
From:Adam Edwards
Sent: Friday, October 20, 2017 8:14 AM
To: Melanie Curtis<MCurtis@ci.orono.mn.us>
Cc: Christine Mattson<CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us>; Roger Peitso<rpeitso@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: RE:#2016-001167/1535 Bohns Point Rd
Melanie,
I've reviewed the subject grading plan and offer the following comments.
1. The as built does not appear to be in keeping with the intent of the approved plan.
a. The plan had a swale to keep surface runoff from being directed on the neighboring property to the
south. The as-built depicts a swale that directs water onto the neighboring property.
b. Their as built depicts a culvert under the driveway and appears to move water toward the southern
property.
2. An inspector should conduct a site visit and confirm the following:
a. The survey accurately depicts conditions on the ground.
b. The site is stabilized to the point that any remaining erosion control can be removed.
c. Other drainage patterns and downspouts do not direct surface water onto the neighboring properties.
Adam
From: Melanie Curtis
Sent:Thursday, October 19, 2017 11:40 AM
1
