Hey Christine,
Thank you for sending this, I think I see an error that works in our favor! Here's what I found, let me know if you agree:
1. The original, proposed survey:
a. States that the top of foundation is 993.5
b. States that the main floor is 994.7—this is a difference of 1.2 feet. This is wrong,we only have a .75'
difference if you look at how our floor system is setup. This is a difference of.533 feet(just over 6
inches).
With that known, I reviewed your other document that you used to determine/check the heights, here is what I find if I
put in that new information.
2. The actual house foundation survey/your review checklist:
a. States that the first floor elevation is 994.7+6 inches for a total of 995.3.As stated above, this is actually
off by.533 feet.
b. If we subtract out that .533 feet, the 995.3 will change to 994.76.
c. When we subtract out the highest existing ground level of 990.9, we end up with a difference of 3.867
feet.
d. Per the review checklist that you sent and my plans, the distance between the first floor and defined top
of roof is 26 feet.
e. When I add 3.867 to 26 I end up with 29.867 for the total height.
Here is a quick image from our plans showing that we are only .75 feet above the foundation, it looks like the surveyor
called that out incorrectly. I am glad you sent this, I don't think I have seen the original survey until today. Please let me
know if you agree with this assessment.
2
