r <br /> BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION PROCEDURE <br /> Each application for a building permit shall be accompanied by the data <br /> indicated below. Failure to submit complete information will result in <br /> return of applications. Please read carefully the listed requirements. <br /> 1. ALL APPLICATIONS <br /> A. Completed application forms including all information required in the <br /> numbered spaces, dated and signed by applicant. <br /> Two copies of building plans, drawn to scale, together with specifications <br /> containing the following minimum information : (requirement for building <br /> plans may be waived by the Building Official for small structures or minor <br /> work). Where manufacturer or dealer requires the return of one approved <br /> set of plans, four copies will be necessary. <br /> 1. Certified Survey - (required for every application) Legal <br /> description of property, dimensions of property, location of existing <br /> and proposed structures on site, location of all proposed improvements <br /> such as driveways, retaining walls, decks, sidewalks, etc. <br /> 2. Grading and Drainage Plans - where any changes in grade or <br /> drainage are proposed as a result of the construction, a grading and <br /> drainage plan must be submitted showing existing and proposed contours <br /> or grades. Required for all projects. <br /> 3 . Floor Plans - each floor or level including basement or <br /> foundation, decks , porches, garage or carport. Size, spacing, and <br /> direction of floor and ceiling framing members , girders, beams, <br /> columns and piers. Location and size of all windows and doors <br /> including manufacturers identification and documentation of window <br /> and door infiltration test data. Location and size of all permanently <br /> installed cabinets, plumbing fixtures, heating, ventilation and air <br /> . conditioning equipment. <br /> 4. Exterior Elevations - All sides of building showing windows , <br /> doors, finished grades, exterior finish, depth of footings, foundation <br /> walls, piers and finished floor elevations. <br /> 5. Details and Sections - a minimum of one section detail through <br /> exterior wall for each type of construction proposed, showing <br /> materials and dimensions of each member from footing to the highest <br /> point of the roof. Details including calculations and stress diagrams <br /> together with manufacturers specifications are required for all <br /> trusses. Fireplaces, if proposed, must be detailed in plan and cross <br /> section. Details and calculations are required for each critical <br /> construction detail including beams, overhanging or cantilevered <br /> joists, stairways, balconies, or other unique structural features. <br /> Information and calculations pertaining to thermal transmittance <br /> values and resistance values of each proposed material are required <br /> and may be shown either on plans or in specifications (see detailed <br /> energy requirement((ggsheetyfor complete listing of information). <br /> SU3 it TRUSS DE!.'NC, fC <br /> BEFORE FR Mri r <br />
