You've indicated to me that the grouting of the riprap will be completed this fall <br /> if possible. That work will establish and achieve the design overflow elevation of 1021.2. The <br /> removal of a five foot section of existing drain tile will be performed next summer after plant <br /> growth in the rain garden is well established. <br /> At our meeting there were discussions about constructing a concrete weir as a more permanent <br /> way to ensure that the design overflow elevation was maintained in the long term. While my <br /> client has no objection to the use of grouting for that purpose, it does raise the question of <br /> whether the outflow elevation will be maintained in the future. This letter confirms that you have <br /> agreed that the grouted riprap will receive maintenance in the future as necessary to maintain <br /> the design outflow elevation. <br /> I'm closing my file at this time subject only to verification next summer that the proposed work <br /> has been completed as proposed.
